[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9672″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]After almost two months of Stay-At-Home behind us, staying indoors for extended periods of time can cause restlessness. For some, it causes anxiety. For others, it causes boredom. It’s called “cabin fever”.  These emotions can lead to mental exhaustion, too. To avoid this state of mind and body, we encourage our employees to not just Work From Home, but Work(out) At Home. MCVO Talent Resource Services strongly support our 4 Core Values of: Modesty, Customer First, Virtue, and Ownership. Because we are an offshore provider, our Core Value – Customer First takes priority. We define Customer First as, “Support our Client’s business outsourcing needs.” In order to maintain the high level of business process outsourcing (BPO) support for our clients, good health of our employees is important. Staying healthy is not only focused on physical strength; but, mental strength as well. Strengthening our mental health makes a difference to our happiness. Most of the current news we read give advice on how to stay physically healthy during the coronavirus pandemic, such as washing our hands, and practicing social distancing. But, managing mental health during this time is just as vital to our overall well-being. If we don’t take care of our mind and emotions, we may notice a decline in our mental state. To stay mentally active, here are a few suggestions for our employees:

1)     Limit or be selective of what we read in the news. While it is important to stay informed, too much contents about the coronavirus can heighten our distress.

2)     Connect with family and friends. We can still maintain Social Connections even when we are physically apart; but, remain connected to friends, family, and community through any chosen media.

3)     Take a few moments alone. Quiet time away from family members, or electronics such as phones, computers, TV, etc. is healthy for the mind.

4)     Read a book that will take our mind away from work, local or global news.

5)     Do physical activities. It proves that physical activities are vital components for good mental health. There are various at-home workout exercises that will help us stay active. Even with limited space at home or without equipment, we can invent on ways to exercise.

6)     And finally, Eat Well. Eating as healthily as possible is important not only for our physical health, but our psychological well-being too. A healthy diet has shown to reduce our risk of chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, as well as depression and anxiety.

Even though we may feel trapped in our homes, we can’t lose sight that we still need to continue to live our lives, perform well at work so we can continue to provide financial support for ourselves and families. MCVO is here for our employees and our clients that give us reasons to do our best each day. This catastrophe may have hauled longer than we wish; but, our goal to be the best outsourcing company in the Philippines to our clients remain. We support our employees to Stay-At-Home while they Work(out)-At-Home.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
