Mark shares how outsourcing work to the Philippines practically saved his high-end photo album company Zookbinders at the time when a lot of other businesses were closing down due to the influx of “shoot and burn” photographers, which affected the demand for professional albums. He also discusses how this business move also continued to help sustain Zookbinders amidst the global health crisis.
Mark also shares how their decision to outsource some of their workload gave birth to MCVO Talent Resources Services, the outsourcing company in the Philippines he co-founded with Cherry Orlina. Since 2017, they have been supporting many professional photography companies in the U.S. and other small to medium businesses from different industries, helping them reduce operating costs to remain viable.
