Photo Editor / Graphic Designer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Photo Editing:

  • Product Photography – editing images from large photo shoots (see client:

https://bike.shimano.com/en-US/apparel-accessories/footwear.html) This shoot is for 96 pair of

biking shoes with 14 shots each and requires color correcting for brightness and contrast and consistency. Products will be displayed (and purchased) online so consistency is critical.

o Turnaround time could be up to 1 month due to meticulous nature of editing

 

  • Events / Races – this includes action photos of races (triathlons and other endurance events), as well as posed photos + meals/conferences

o Turnaround time of 3 days

 

  • Large Production Shoots – e.g. client is https://www.theproscloset.com/ a buyer and re-seller of bikes

 

  • Client works with Capture1 for editing (not LightRoom). Ideal candidate has Capture1

experience, however Client is willing to train (with Allen’s support)

Graphic Design

    • Client functions as an advertising/marketing agency for clients within and outside of the

    endurance industry. They create many graphics for Instagram and online content for ads etc.

    o Here are examples of clients they work with in the air cleaning space

    o Client is looking for someone creative who can bring new ideas and continue existing branded campaigns

    o PhotoShop is primary software, although some is in Illustrator – PhotoShop is more important.


    • Communicating with owner, colleagues and clients via email and web conference
    • Identify issues that cannot be resolved remotely in a quick and efficient manner.
    • Fluency in English writing and speaking are required.
    • Assisting the owner with administrative work as directed

Key Qualifications include the following.

  • Proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced) with Adobe Photoshop

    • Experience with Capture1 for Photo editing
    • If no Capture1 experience, then proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced) with Adobe Lightroom–

    this serves as a stepping-stone to learning/working with Capture!

    • For Graphic Deseign, PhotoShop is primary software, although some is in Illustrator – PhotoShop is more important.

    • Familiar with other software applications (e.g. Google Docs/Sheets etc.)
    • Performs consistently high-quality work
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong attention to timelines (meeting deadlines)
    • Reliable, consistent
