Financial Controller

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Assist the CEO in providing services to CLP clients by providing solid accounting and analysis support.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Gross margin analysis for clients.
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
  • Manage client accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Assist with payroll review and submissions.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Assist in preparing documents in support of audits and tax preparation.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Provide Controller Support for Internal CLP Operations

  • Managing all finance and accounting operations
  • Support month-end closing processes for company.
  • Analyze gross margins on client engagements.
  • Weekly time report reviews with CEO to monitor utilization.
  • Additional controller duties as necessary

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • 2 years’ experience working with US clients.
  • Intermediate QuickBooks Desktop or QBO
  • Intermediate Excel and Google Sheets
