Certified Estimating and Collections

Overview of Business:

They have a several companies in home remediation services (handling flood and fire damage) to a home (or business).   For example, if a home has an emergency due to a washing machine leak or hot water heater breaking and there’s water damage, they get the call to help.

They send crews that go onsite to survey the damage and take photos.  The crew sends photos to an Estimator, who estimates the cost of remediation (fixing the damage).  They have standard templates used for estimating damage, such as from:

  • Washer/Dryer
  • Water Heater
  • Toilet
  • Shower etc.

 

Once the estimate is sent, and the client hires them, they make arrangements to send out crews to fix the damage. 

Other services they provide include negotiating with the insurance adjuster (so the homeowner doesn’t have to), and in-house billing services (also a convenience).  They are networked with hundreds of plumbers in their areas of service which provides many of their leads.

  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and adherence to deadline discipline
  • Strong written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer empathy is important (you’ll be talking to homeowners who are experiencing a major disruption)
  • Comfort with business systems and the Google suite/Google documents
  • Reliable, and willing to work “night shift” in Philippines

Strongly Desired Qualifications include the following.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience working with claims adjusters to complete homeowners claims and collect funds due
  • Experience using Basecamp project management software

Shift/Hours:

Monday – Friday:  7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.  Which is 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PH time, or 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM PH time.     Talent will need to adjust their hours during Daylight Savings Time which is not observed in the Philippines.

They’re also open on weekends, so there’s a possibility for changing the days, once talent is fully trained.   For example, working Tuesday – Saturday, Wednesday – Sunday, Thursday – Tuesday etc.
